Wagoneer to debut in 2015

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is coming closer to being a reality.

According to Jeep global boss Mike Manley, the three-row SUV will be a key part to the American automakerís growth in the U.S. and Australian markets and will also serve as a flagship as it competes at in the premium SUV segment. It is likely that the vehicle will make its debut in production form late next year before going on sale in 2016.

Speaking at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne hinted that the Wranglerís production could be moved out from its current Toledo plant, making that plant a possibility for the Grand Wagoneerís production. Marchionne believes that the Grand Wagoneer will be able to compete with other luxury three-row SUVs on the market including Land Roverís newest models.

In the same report, Manley also confirmed that Jeep is on track to sell over one million vehicles this year and is aiming to almost double that by 2018.

this is a test

Yea I've been reading 2015 as a 2016 model, ostensibly that would indicate a late 2015 launch. Likely the end of Q3 or early Q4...

Being a 2015 vehicle, should we expect to see a concept or something about it at some show, like the NAIAS show in detroit?

Or at least a photo of the prototype?

I'm thinking that we could see the Wagoneer in early 2015 but not so soon as the NAIAS in Detroit in January. I would think we are more likely to see it in the spring or summer instead. Just my guess as far as the timeline is concerned.

Events coming up in a few months should hopefully provide some insight to that.

Well if its coming in 2015, we should see something about it at an upcoming auto show then. I am thinking that we could hear something in Detroit. It would make sense since Jeep is American and Detroit is very American.

That's what i'm hoping for with this, a lot of surprises usually happen around this time of the year leading into the first quarter so who knows!
